A compact urban backyard turned into a private oasis — precise pool-surround tiling with crisp, mitred detailing.

A Private Urban Oasis
Designed to make the most of a compact backyard, this contemporary outdoor space combines clean lines, premium materials and meticulous craftsmanship — a private urban oasis built for both relaxing and entertaining. Tarara Tiling was proud to complete the tiling that ties the whole space together.
The Pool & Outdoor Tiling Work
Outdoor and pool tiling is unforgiving — it lives with water, weather and sun, and every line is on show in full daylight. Our scope on this project included:
- Pool-surround tiling — set out so lines run true around the pool and joints stay consistent along every edge.
- Precision tile installation — planned around the pool geometry to keep the layout balanced and the cuts clean.
- Mitred edge detailing — crisp mitred corners and edges instead of exposed trims, for a seamless, high-end finish.
- Premium external adhesives and grouts — rated for outdoor and wet conditions, so the finish holds up to weather and use.
- Silicone finishing — clean, flexible seals at movement joints and junctions.
Built for the outdoors. Indoors, a small compromise might never show. Outdoors — around water, in full sun — it will. We use external-grade adhesives and grouts and detail every edge by hand, so the finish stays crisp and low-maintenance season after season.
